Total skin renewal
Medical Peels in Pamplona
The chemical peel allows the renewal of the skin, delaying its aging process, which results in a complexion with natural shine and texture. It visibly alleviates wrinkles, expression lines, and freckles. In addition, it is useful for common problems in oily skin, such as enlarged pores and excess oiliness.
The treatment consists of removing the most superficial layers of the skin through the application of a chemical agent, which is obtained by producing a keratolysis (desquamation) and its consequent re-epithelialization. Various chemical agents can be used, such as salicylic acid, kojic acid, resorcinol, lactic acid, citric acid, hydroquinone, trichloroacetic acid, phenol, etc. The technique is indicated in superficial scars, pigmentations, fine wrinkles, acne, and any process that affects the epidermis and/or dermis.
To obtain better results, several sessions of the treatment may be convenient. A more or less apparent peeling process will occur with the formation of scales that disappear in about 10 days or less.
Undesirable effects may occur, such as pain, post-treatment infection, acneiform eruptions, hyper- or hypopigmentation in the treated area, exacerbation of a herpetic process, scabs. The peeling that may occur is a consequence of the technique and not a side effect or complication thereof.
After a peeling, you cannot sunbathe or use U.V.A rays before or after each session, according to medical criteria, as well as that you should use sunscreen daily between sessions and during the time that the treatment lasts and not use self-tanners.
The technique is performed on an outpatient basis, and the results are visible within a few days. Generally, several applications are necessary to achieve an optimal result.
