Excessive sweating

Sweating is a completely normal physiological process to reduce heat through perspiration. However, in some people, this sweating becomes excessive, beyond what is required for normal body temperature control, known as HYPERHIDROSIS.

It generally affects the palms of the hands, armpits, soles of the feet, and facial region, which are the body regions where we have the highest density of sweat glands. This interferes with the patient’s quality of life, their social and personal relationships, and the workplace. In addition, excessive sweating can cause injuries, such as chafing or eczema.

BOTOX has proven to be very USEFUL in the treatment of hyperhidrosis, blocking the production of sweat starting on the third or fourth day after application, with a total duration of between 4 and 6 months.

BOTOX has proven to be VERY EFFECTIVE, with practically minimal side effects, simple application, and very tolerable in terms of pain, in addition to being reversible.

If there is no response, more definitive options can always be considered, such as bilateral thoracoscopic sympathectomy, which is reserved for severe cases.
